Costa Blanca villa holidays

The Costa Blanca continues to be one of the most popular holiday areas in Spain boasting over 300 sunny days per year.  With its white sandy beaches set against a backdrop of olive groves, the area has enough diversity to cater for all ages and types of holidaymaker.  It's a great place for families, golfers and party-goers, as the variety of skyscraper hotels and all-night clubs nestle alongside picturesque mountain villages and luxury villas.

Alicante, the capital of the Costa Blanca, has great beaches and excellent shopping facilities - and it's also very popular with British ex-pats, many of whom own villas here. Aside from this, there's the typical tourist resort of Benidorm, which is bursting with hotels, bars and clubs.  For a quieter holiday, head along the coast to the pretty fishing port of Moraira, the seaside resort of Calpe and the town of Denia which is dominated by its impressive castle.

Costa Brava villa holidays

With endless sandy beaches and an array of towns -  from high-rise tourist resorts to pretty fishing villages - it's little wonder why the area of Costa Brava is so popular with holiday makers.

Barcelona is the capital of the Catalonia region and a day spent here is an absolute must.  Another brilliant day out is Europe's largest water park just outside Lloret de mar.

The biggest resort in the region is Roses, which is situated close to the French border.  With its ancient fishing port and wide sweeping bay, you'll find plenty of typical Spanish charm here.  South of Roses is the laid-back resort of Estartit followed by the prettiest resort on the Costa Brava - Tossa del Mar. As one of the most popular choices for Costa Brava villa holidays, it can get pretty busy here in the summer months, with thousands of tourists flocking to the nine miles of beaches and coves.  For some Spanish culture, head to the town's historic old quarter or for more beaches take a trip to Blanes, a busy resort packed with bars and restaurants and boasting good water sports facilities.

Costa Calida villa holidays

This area is most famous for the La Manga Club - one of Europe's top tourist complexes located in the region of Murcia in south east Spain.  Recently declared the cleanest area in Spain it boasts the Mar Menor sea inlet  - Europe's biggest salt water lagoon! The La Manga resort can be extremely expensive, so if you're on a budget you may find villa rental prices are lower further south, where there are a lot of newer developments.

The beautiful hilltop town of Mojacar is also on this Costa.  With its pretty whitewashed buildings and tiny narrow streets, it's a great place to explore.  The summer months are extremely busy here with a huge choice of watersports, lively bars and clubs and flamenco shows.  For seafood lovers, head to the port of Garrucha to sample the excellent restaurants.

Costa del Sol villa holidays

The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular choices for villa holidays in Spain and one of Europe's top year-round holiday destinations.  Set on the south coast of Spain, it attracts sun worshippers, water sport lovers and the rich and famous, many of whom own luxury villas here.

This area is also a firm favourite with golfers, who flock to the region's 60+ courses  - over 30 of which have sea views!

The capital of the region is Malaga - the birthplace of Picasso.  Just a few miles from here are the package holiday favourites of Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Torremolinos, which are bursting with bars and clubs and not a lot in the way of Spanish culture! It's great here if you're just looking for sun, sea and sangria.

Marbella and Puerto Banus are both glamorous and expensive, with harbours lined with multi-million pound yachts. They are great places to spend the day if you fancy splashing some cash in the shops or a spot of people watching - just don't forget your camera!  Alternatively, take a trip to Estepona - a quiet beach resort favoured by couples and families.

Costa Dorada villa holidays

The Costa Dorada is a big favourite with Spanish tourists, who flock to the three main resorts in this area - Salou, La Pineda and Cambrils.

The main holiday resort is Salou, where you'll find high-rise apartments and lively clubs and bars.  However, for something a little quieter, La Pineda is a favourite with families with young children - its biggest attraction being its gently shelving sandy beaches.

If you're looking for some Spanish culture, head to the pretty village of Cambrils with its cobbled streets, great seafood restaurants and traditional tapas bars.

Costa Tropical

Famous for its sub-tropical climate and situated on the south coast next to the better known Costa del Sol, the three main resorts here are Almunecar, Salobrena and Motril. 

The tourist capital of the area is Almunecar, which has over twenty sandy beaches and is favoured by the Spanish, however, as all three resorts are in easy reach of the historic city of Granada, the ski resort of Sierra Nevada and the mountainous region of Alpujarras they're all becoming more popular year after year!
